I am a successful UK entrepreneur and founder of the Brookfield Rose group of companies, one of the most successful, profitable and privately held group of companies in the UK. The Brookfield Rose group comprises 13 companies, all market leaders and successful in their own right.

My success is founded on strong market knowledge, hard work and determination, which has led to a successful portfolio of businesses and a string of awards. These include a listing four years in a row on The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For, along with The Sunday Times Profit Track 100 and Top Track 250 recognition.

Brookfield Rose was established in 2010 to act as a holding company for my growing number of businesses. The group has seen significant growth and now includes a total of 13 businesses.

The group’s turnover is in excess of £600m, with a client base of blue chip organisations from a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, financial services, care, construction, engineering and transport logistics.

Brookfield Rose aims to be the parent company to the most successful businesses in their fields. Reflecting this, the Group has an ambitious sales target of £1 billion by 2017.

I founded my first business, de Poel, in 2001 when working in the recruitment industry. I discovered a gap in the market for the provision of a specialist service to businesses that use non-permanent staff.  I realised that the recruitment processes being used by large organisations and their agencies were costly, offered little clarity and had a high invoice error rate. From there, de Poel was born.

de Poel is now the UK’s largest independent expert on improving the performance of public and private sector organisations, through smarter management of their temporary workers. Differentiating itself from recruitment agencies, de Poel works with businesses and agencies to ensure an efficient, cost-effective approach to non-permanent recruitment.

Following excellent business growth in the recruitment sector for de Poel, I founded Flo Software Solutions, an innovative, cloud-based system aimed at helping agencies working within the temporary recruitment industry.

The solution, designed and built specifically for the temporary recruitment sector, allows users to accurately process candidate information including bookings and timesheets, which consolidate to generate payroll and invoice information.
